Symptom

  • SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence 4.1 Support Pack 6 update failed.
  • SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence 4.1 Support Pack 5 update failed in repair mode.
  • Central Management Server logs reflect the below error message:
    SIServerController:run: Fail to initialize or uninitialize.  Reason is The root server reported an error Initialization Failure. (Reason: Internal error: An unknown exception has occurred.Unknown error).:Unknown error
  • Server Intelligence Agent logs are reflecting below error messages:
    CentralManagementServer stopped with exit code = 0 (0x0).
    CentralManagementServer stopped unexpectedly.
  • Windows Event Viewer only reflected the below error message:
    The root server reported an error Initialization Failure.
