2218506 - Error during generation of encryption key with type AES256-CTS-HMAC-SHA1-96: Illegal key size

Symptom

While running the SPNego wizard, during the generation of the keytab file, a key with the "Type" AES256 is not created and warning appears with the text:
"Error during generation of encryption key with type AES256: Illegal key size. Check the crypto policy file in use and also SAP Note 1240081"
