Symptom

  • SAP HANA Installation fails with error 'Invalid SAPSYSTEMNAME value' in hdbinst.log file.
  • There are no entries in the file host_profile in the directory /usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/.
  • In the scenario where you uninstall and reinstall the system you may find the file host_profile1 with the correct entries also in the directory /usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/.
