2219668 - Column 'osprocid' from sysengines returns 0 under Process kernel mode - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • When ASE is started in Process mode :
kernel  Adaptive Server is using the process kernel mode.
  • A query on sysengines shows column 'osprocid' with incorrect value of 0 for one or more engines :

select engine, osprocid, status from master..sysengines

engine osprocid   status
------ ---------  ------
     0     18379  online
     1         0  online
     2      6921  online
  • The correct value is reported in ASE errorlog :
kernel  engine 1 os pid 3901  online
