2220425 - Incorrect characters displayed in email PDF attachment

Symptom

When sending a PDF created via the SAPScript/Smartform OTF to PDF conversion as an email attachment via SAPCONNECT, non-Latin1 characters appear as # or other gibberish characters in the emailed PDF attachment.
