Symptom

  • When creating or recreating Server Intelligence Agent in SAP Business Objects BI 4.0/4.1 add node process is failed. Below are the errors which are found in Event Viewer at Operating System Level.

  • Errors as follows:
CMS is unstable and will shut down immediately. Reason: Attempt to set up sub-directory for namespaced default object files failed. Name: D:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\dfo\dfo_ASGlxpcpfZdMiMHAwlcXA1I. Error: Failed to copy the file C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\dfo\dfo_AWuaAu1JPNBAslisbMDkhSQ\ to C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\dfo\dfo_ASGlxpcpfZdMiMHAwlcXA1I\ in file system operation.
