2221977 - DBSL error 99: SQL0159N in phase MAIN_SHDIMP/SUBMOD_SHDALIASCRE/SCEXEC_ALIAS

Symptom

The following error is encountered during phase MAIN_SHDIMP/SUBMOD_SHDALIASCRE/SCEXEC_ALIAS of upgrade.

Directory:  /SUM/abap/log
Name:       SQLEXEAL.LOG

ERROR: SQL ERROR -159: SQL0159N  The statement references "SAPSIDSHD.OBJECTNAME" which identifies a(n) "TABLE" rather than a(n) "ALIAS".  SQLSTATE=42809

Example where the SID is PRD: ERROR: Statement: DROP ALIAS "NEW_LINK"
ERROR: SQL ERROR -159: SQL0159N  The statement references "SAPPRDSHD.NEW_LINK" which identifies a(n) "TABLE" rather than a(n) "ALIAS".  SQLSTATE=42809
