Symptom

  • When you create a PDF from SAP with Chinese, Japanese or Korean characters, you get a pop-up with an error "A font package is required to correctly display this page" like below when you try to open the PDF.

  • The pop-up message may sometimes refer to Asian fonts specifically and in some Adobe Reader releases there may be no pop-up but the Asian characters are inccorrect in the PDF.
