2224520 - Performance issue - SMP Query to database taking couple seconds - large amount of old data in SMP_CLUSTER_PROP_VALUE table

Symptom

  • Performance issue with SMP 3.0 SP06
  • SELECT VALUE_ID, CREATED_MS, CREATED_BY, CREATED_FROM, CREATED_WITH, LAST_MODIFIED, LONG_BINARY_VALUE, LONG_STRING_VALUE, PROP_ID, STRING_VALUE FROM SMP_CLUSTER_PROP_VALUE WHERE (PROP_ID = :1 )
  • SQL statement is run 1000 times in an hour, and each call takes couple seconds to respond, it causes server to become non-responsive
  • The query return a large amount of "old" data
