2225112 - Error: "Failed to register libcs_http_plugin.so ..." during SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 installation on a Unix machine.

Symptom

  • During BO XI 3.1 installation on a UNIX machine, these errors are encountred:

    [error] [Registry::SelfReg] Failed to register libcs_corba_plugin.so (regsvr32), error code: 1

    [error] Errcode 1:"boxi/bobje/enterprise120/linux_x86/crpe/mw//bin-linux_optimized/regsvr32"

    [error] [Registry::SelfReg] Failed to register libcs_http_plugin.so (regsvr32), error code: 1

  • After the installation gets completed, the RAS is typically down.
