When investigating the Portal Content Directory (PCD) during the support process, sometimes technical information is required to analyze and fix problems. For this reason, there are a couple of tools which can be used to analyze the PCD on a low level. All these tools run in standalone mode. Some have a Swing-based UI, others are console-based.

This document describes the PCD check tool – a console-based toolset for running several types of analyses, and for checking and fixing the consistency of the PCD.

This document is relevant for SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.3x and higher (a.k.a. SAP Enterprise Portal in 7.5x) versions starting from version 7.30, 7.31, 7.40 and 7.50.
