2227719 - System Compare throws NumberFormatException error

Symptom

You attempt to compare two systems using the "Compare Systems: System Components Comparison" in NetWeaver Administrator (NWA) page but an error is thrown. The error is "Comparison Failed".

You also check the defaultTraces and you can find entries like this:

java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "28*"
at java.lang.NumberFormatException.forInputString(NumberFormatException.java:48)
at java.lang.Integer.parseInt(Integer.java:458)
at java.lang.Integer.parseInt(Integer.java:499)
at com.sap.itsam.cs.systemdata.Attribute.getCompareResults(Attribute.java:232)

You can also use the Log Viewer available inside the NWA to see the defaultTrace and you should see an error similar to this:
