2228481 - Unable to manage Analytics user accounts

Symptom

As the designated Admin user for the Analytics tool, Analytics - Analytics - Admin - User Maintenance does not appear.

Environment

SuccessFactors Analytics -> Analytics subsection

Reproducing the Issue

Once logged into BizX, click Analytics -> Analytics -> Admin.  Check whether User Maintenance appears in the right column.  If not, the current user does not have the necessary access.

Cause

To access the User Maintenance tool, the user's Analytics role requires the action "Edit Users" to be enabled.  If it does not appear, then the role does not have it enabled.  If it is one of the standard roles, then the user is assigned to the wrong role.  If it is a custom role, the role may still be correct but need the action enabled.  (Standard roles cannot be edited.)

Resolution

The easiest way to enable User Maintenance for a user is to assign that user to the standard role "Implementation Partner".  This provides full admin access, including this function.  Another user with the same role can do this, or else you can request it in an case ticket.  Users created by bulk upload can be given the role at the outset, but bulk uploading requires the same privilege.

Otherwise, Role Maintenance can be used to add "Edit Users" to an existing role if it is not a standard role.  This requires the "Edit User Roles" action to be enabled; Implementation Partner has it for example.
