Symptom
When checking the DefaultTrace logs of your portal (SAP KBA 1596214 for details), you see a lot of the following messages:
#Fatal#com.sap.netweaver.rtmf#
#EP-PIN-RTC#com.sap.netweaver.rtmf.messaging#...#sap.com/rtmfcommunicator#com.sap.netweaver.rtmf.getUserMessages.getUserMessages
#0#Thread[HTTP Worker [@1560947886],5,Dedicated_Application_Thread]#Plain##
User authentication failed for user: USER.PRIVATE_DATASOURCE.un:<user>. Messages will not be delivered!
Although this is written as a Fatal error message, you do not receive user complaints about problems with RTMF (Real-Time Messaging Framework).
