2232102 - Visualizations are locked or greyed out after updating to Lumira Desktop 1.28.4

After updating Lumira Desktop to 1.28.4, it is no longer possible to open existing visualizations which were created in the previous version.  All the data sources and projects are still present, and the visualizations from previous versions are available, but they cannot be opened.  They appear to be locked or "greyed out".

Refreshing the datasource does not resolve the issue.  While it is refreshing, the colors of the visualization are not greyed out. But after the refresh is done, all are greyed out again.

The files contained in the .sapvi folder in your %USERPROFILE% have become corrupted / are not compatible with the new version of Lumira Desktop.

• Manually remove the following folder:
• %userprofile%\.sapvi   (In the windows explorer address bar type %userprofile%
• restart Lumira
• NOTE: You may need to reenter any license / keycode information
