2232106 - Error accessing the PI Integration Builder tools

Symptom

  • When connecting to the Process Integration (PI) or Process Orchestration (PO) Integration Builder tools you get the error "Cannot connect to server using message server".
  • This is an intermittent error
  • A restart of the system will usually resolve this but it will reoccur at a later time/date
  • The full error is:
    Problem When Logging On
    Cannot connect to server using message server
    ms://<server>:<port>/P4

  • When checking the dev_icm trace file you see an entry similar to below generated around the same time as the logon attempt:
