2233818 - PI Messages Fail with 'Exception decrypting key' Error

Symptom

  • Messages processing through a channel with the PGP Encryption Module configured fail with the below error
    Message processing failed. Cause: org.bouncycastle.openpgp.PGPException: Exception decrypting key
  • The default traces collected for this scenario (See SAP Note: 1514898) shows the below error: 
    No Information Available for Audit Key : PGP Encryption Module: Could not extract private key (org.bouncycastle.openpgp.PGPException: Exception decrypting key)
    Catching com.sap.aii.af.lib.mp.module.ModuleException: Could not open private key
    Caused by: org.bouncycastle.openpgp.PGPException: Exception decrypting key
    Caused by: java.security.InvalidKeyException: Illegal key size
