2234386 - Unable to update the Required Date field on a user's record or via "Edit Required Dates"

Symptom

  • As a Learning Administrator, upon navigating to a user's record, when attempting to update the Required Date field of an assigned item, the Edit option (pencil button) is not available.

  • As a Learning Administrator, upon navigating to "Edit Required Dates", nothing is displayed after selecting it.

Cause

The Learning Administrator role currently lacks one or two permissions. Deciding which permissions to add should be based on your organization's requirements and configuration.

Resolution

Checking the Admin's role:

  1. Learning Administration > System Administration > Security > Administrators >
  2. Search and access the desired Admin account > "Assigned Roles" tab.

Checking the role's permission:

  1. Learning Administration > System Administration > Security > Role Management >
  2. Search and access the desired role > "Permissions" tab >
  3. Click "add one or more from list" > Expand all > Select the "Edit Item Assigned to User (domain restricted by item)" and "Edit Item Assigned to User (domain restricted by user)" permissions >
  4. Click "Add" >
  5. The Learning Administrator should now be able to update the "Required Date field" on the user's record and to access the "Edit Required Dates" area.
