2236723 - Required information to be filled in by other operators is required to proceed when moving a candidate - Recruiting Management

When moving a candidate through the pipeline to a new status, the following error message occurs: "Some required fields must be filled by the candidate or other operator(s) before proceeding", and the candidate is not moved to the new status. How can the candidate be moved to the new status successfully?

4. Try to move a candidate through the pipeline using any possible method.
5. The error message "Some required fields must be filled by the candidate or other operator(s) before proceeding" is received by the Recruiter.

In a multi-stage environment you can configure fields available only in for specific roles in specific statuses. Only if all operators on the job requisition (including the Candidate) filled all required information on the job requisition, you will be able to move the candidate forward in the application workflow.

When multi-stage application is in use, this error message will appear in one of two scenarios:

1. Mandatory pre-screening questions. The error message details can say "Required field(s) are: Questions".

   Mandatory pre-screening questions are added or changed after a candidate had applied for the job. Check the audit trail of the job req to see if any pre-screening question had been changed. If this happened after the application was created, then the candidate is required to fill the mandatory question added or changed.
   
   Another workaround is to uncheck the option 'Required' for the pre-screening question on the Job Requisition Detail page, move the candidates, and then make the question Required again. This will allow the candidate to be moved to another status.
   
   Please note that it is recommended not to change the pre-screening questions after candidates submitted their applications. Also, it is recommended to configure the "questionResponse" field as required="false" in the Application XML template.

2. A mandatory field visible to a recruiting operator is not filled.
   
   A specific field becomes editable to an operator in a specific status based on the configuration for the multi-stage application. At this point that operator has to fill the field before the application can be moved ahead.
   
   And for an operator we mean also the candidate him/herself. You can try to find out who has a mandatory field to fill before moving the candidate to the next status by proxying other operators.
   
   Please note that if this is an external candidate, you would have to move the candidate to a status, where they have the field permission and notify the candidate to update his application using the View/Edit Application option from the career portal.

Note: For all fields configured on both the Candidate Profile & Application Template, please configure the required attribute identical between both templates. This avoids scenario's where a value is provided in the Candidate Profile but not the Application, and vice versa.
