2237659 - When Using MDF Position the field Higher-Level Position does not filter based Role Based Permissions

Symptom

When Using MDF , the field Higher-Level Position does not obey Role Based Permissions .

Environment

  • Biz-X Success Factors - SCD- Succession Management
  • Employee Central
  • Employee Central Position Management

Reproducing the Issue

  • Navigate to Position Tile
  • Try to edit a position .
  • In the list of fields that you can see , search for 'Higher-Level Position' :

  • The above field does not obey Role Based Permissions
  • It will show all the existing Positions in the search result .

Cause

This is currently expected. The fields ("Higher-Level Position" or similar fields) currently do not filter based on RBP settings / Target Population.

Resolution

The Engineering Team is currently discussing whether this can be enhanced to meet the requirement/need (XAF-2376).
