Resolution
What fields can be added as filter options?
The following Data Types are supported as searchable filters on the Position Tile:
- Picklist
- Enum
- String
- Boolean
- Number
- Date
- Decimal
- User
- Translatable
Note: Other Data Types, such as "Generic Object" or "Foundation Object" are not supported as searchable fields in the Position Tile View.
Default Filters
These filters are by default displayed in the position tile and cannot be removed:
- Position Title and Code
- Position Title
- Code
How to add filters to Position Tile
- Go to Admin Center > Company Settings > Configure Object Definition
- Select "Object Definition" in the first search box and "Position" in the second search box
- Click "Take Action" button and select the option "Make Correction"
- Scroll down to "Searchable Fields" section
- Add the field name as filter on Position Tile
Note: To remove filters, click the trash can icon for the target filter
- If the DataType is string, user, date, enum or number, then add only the name of the field (e.g. positionTitle).
- If the DataType is picklist, then add the name of field with the ".label" extension in the end, as fieldname.label (e.g. positionCriticality.label):
- Save the changes.
- The new filters added will be displayed under "Display Options" on Position Tile:
Note 1: Position Title and Code, Code, and Position Title are default filters and cannot be removed from the filters view.
Note 2: Custom sorting of Picklist values through 'Picklist Center' will not apply to the display of the dropdown values in the Position Tile View.
Note 3: Selecting effectiveStatus as a searchable field may cause issues when accessing the Positon Tile filters as only active positions are shown in the Position Tile View.
Note 4: Position Tile Filter value (eg.: Start Date) is not restricted by RBP, if the Filter added as Searchable Field in Configure Object Definition, it is visible for all user.
However the search result is based on RBP, not the filter.
