2238287 - The Determination of Payment and Incoterms is not working in Sales Quotes

Symptom

The determination of Payment and Incoterms is not working in Sales Quotes.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to to the C4C system.
  2. Select New Sales Quote from Quick Create.
  3. Edit Master Layout in Adaptation Mode to add the Incoterm, Incoterm Location, Payment Term and Division fields.
  4. Enter Account, Sales Unit & Owner in the New Sales Quote window.
  5. The fields Incoterm, Incoterm Location, and Payment Term do not get filled automatically.
  6. Now go to the Customers work center.
  7. Go to the Accounts view.
  8. Search and open the account which was added in the sales quote.
  9. Go to the Sales Data tab.
  10. The Payment Term, Incoterm and Incoterm Location is already maintained for the Sales Area.

You are expecting the New Sales Quote to pick the details automatically from the account.

Cause

The determination is not happening automatically as you have not entered Division in the sales quote, which is maintained in the account master data.

Resolution

You can use one of three options described below:

A. Enter the division manually in the quick create window of the sales quote, this will enable determination of Payment terms and Incoterms.

  1. Login to to the C4C system.
  2. Select New Sales Quote from Quick Create.
  3. Enter Account, Sales Unit & Owner in the New Sales Quote window.
  4. Enter Divison manually.
  5. The fields Incoterm, Incoterm Location, and Payment Term get filled automatically.

B. Apply party determination changes in Business Configuration Fine tuning.

  1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
  2. Go to the Implementation Projects view.
  3. Go to the activities and search for Sales Quote.
  4. Open the sales quote activity and select the Involved Parties.
  5. Select the Sales Unit -> Select the Maintain Determinations button -> activate access step 5 Accounts Sales Data.
  6. Save your changes.

With above changes the sales data from the account master shall be taken into the sales quote automatically.

C. Maintain in account master sales data without division.

  1. Go to the Customers work center.
  2. Go to the Accounts view.
  3. Search and open the account which was added in the sales quote.
  4. Go to the Sales Data tab.
  5. Remove Division maintained for the Sales Area.
  6. Save your changes.

With above changes the sales data from the account master shall be taken into the sales quote automatically based on the Account, Sales Unit & Owner maintained in the sales quote.
