How to customize the body of the notification sent, when using the "Email Job to Friend" feature?

1. From the external/internal career site click on Email Job to Friend.
2. Check that the body already contains a message.

Before edit the body message, you need to know which Email Template is associated to the feature trigger:

1. In Admin Center, open Recruiting Email Triggers.
2. Find the trigger "Email Job to Friend" and open. 

3. In the Email Template section, check the template name.

4. Go back to Admin Center and open Manage Recruiting Email Templates.
5. Find the Email Template that was configured in the Trigger.
6. Perform the changes in the body as desired.

If you do not select any template and keep the "E-mail Job to Friend" trigger still enabled, the friend you try to email the job will still be receiving an email but with the default template. This is hard-coded by the system and the contents of the email cannot be configured.

Note: The email subject of the notification is the Job Title. It is not possible to change the email subject. If you would like to change or improve this system behaviour, feel free to vote for this existing idea: 255205.

Additional information:

The “Email this job to a friend” email body does not support Rich Text Format because it is sent from a text area. The Message section in the pop-up window is a text area, as we can see in the screenshot at the top of the KBA.

Since the user can edit the text before sending the email, the system strips the original template to Plain Text. Plain Text contains no formatting, only line breaks and spacing. Therefore, no other text formatting (such as font sizes and colours, bolding or italics) can be used.

If you want spacing formatting to be kept when emailing a job to a friend, when configuring the email template, do not click the Enter button but press Shift + Enter instead i.e. Hello, "Shift + Enter” (twice) I found this job "Shift + Enter" (twice) etc.

When you click the Enter key, it adds a <p> tag. However, when you press Shift + Enter, it inserts the page break tag <br>. You can see the tags by clicking on "Source".
