Symptom
When we want to hide certain language translations from the Metadata Framework objects (MDF), we can do this via an object definition called "Translations" /GOLocalizedData.
Environment
Metadata Framework
MDF
Employee Central
Resolution
Prerequisite: RBP access enabled for MDF objects view, edit and delete.
Go to Admin Center-> Configure Object Definitions-> Select Object Definition -> Translations -> Take Action on top right corner -> select Make correction.
What is MDF object translation? How to find out which translations are enabled?
Go to Admin Center -> Manage Data, select any MDF object, for example Message Definitions -> click on Globe symbol beside text field.
We have below enabled translations and we can remove French (Canada).
To remove go back to Object Definition of Translations -> Make correction -> Navigate to fr_CA and to selectively disabling language translations, please click on Details link.
You can see all the locale/ language for MDF translations available here. Please note that these languages need to be already enabled at provisioning (backend).
Make the visiblity set as Not Visible.
You can go back to Manage data-> Message Definition and veify the translations by cliking on Globe icon. French (Canada) is now not visible.
