Symptom
- After an employee transfers from one position to another the system does not reflect the Position Title change in the Public Profile for that employee.
- In this caes the effective date of the change is in the past meaning the change is in effect. This employee transferred within the same department to a new position and reports to a new manager. The employee's Public Profile porlet displays the old position title. whereas the Employment Information portlet displays the new title with the correct effective date of the position change. The employment information history correctly displays the correct new information with the correct effective date.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
Cause
In this case the Employee Central (EC) Position Title is not being properly synchronized with the Employee Profile (EP) data. A review of the backend scheduled HRIS sync jobs revealed there was no active Daily HRIS Sync job scheduled. In order for EC field data to sync to EP fields a daily HRIS sync job must be scheduled in the job scheduler in provisioning.
Note: In some scenarios this may also be caused by the daily HRIS sync job failing.
Resolution
- To correct the problem a daily HRIS sync job needed to be set up and scheduled in the Job Scheduling in Provisioning using an admin ID with full permissions.
- This process requires assistance from an Implementation Consultant or Product Support Engineer as customers do not have direct access to the Job Scheduler.
