2240012 - Timestamp error 3474 or 6902 during database recovery - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • ASE errorlog report timestamp errors 3474 and/or 6902 during database recovery:

Error: 3474, Severity: 21, State: 1
During redo the page timestamp value is less than old timestamp from log. Page #=123456, object id = 654321, page timestamp=0000 35cb9fa0.
Log old timestamp=0001 ed63d9a6. Log record marker = (4331464, 5).


and/or

Error: 6902, Severity:21, State: 0
Page timestamp value falls between the old and new timestamps from log.
Page #=34567, object id = 987654654, page timestamp=0002 d007d728.
Log: old timestamp=0002 94d80266, new timestamp=0012 f85798bf. Log record marker = (73607349, 7).
