2240595 - Lumira - Load Time for BW Hiearchies is very long

Symptom

The load time for BW queries with Hierarchies in Lumira Desktop 1.28.x can take up to 10 minutes ( in some cases longer ) to be displayed, while in  Analysis for Office or SAP BI client tools, e.g Webi Rich Client, the same query takes a few seconds

Environment

  • Lumira desktop 1.28.X

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open Lumira
  2. Select 'File' -> 'New' -> 'Download from SAP Business Warehouse'
  3. Connect to 'Local BW System'
  4. Select the query

Resolution

The loading performance has been greatly enhanced in Lumira 1.29.x and should be comparable to the loading time of Analysis for Office or the SAP BI client tools.
