2240791 - Application Installation fails with "RSE4008: Communication error [SYS995 I/O operation has been aborted...]" in SAP Relay Server logs -Afaria

Symptom

  • Upon pushing an application to a device via Afaria, the application installation fails, and the following logs are written to the Relay Server log:
    <PackageFarmID> <serverID> RSE4008: Communication error [SYS995: The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request...] occurred while writing response to client of backend server 'serverID' in backend farm 'PackageFarmID' when flushing
    <PackageFarmID> <serverID> RSW103: The backend connection was terminated before the entire content length response body was received. Remaining 1185837 of 5832851 bytes
    <PackageFarmID> <serverID> Signal OE to disconnect non-persistent backend connection
    AND/OR
  • Relay Server crashes shortly after Restart
    AND/OR
  • Content of rs.conig file gets flushed/removed after the crash
