2240848 - Succession “Readiness” Label Translations

This article provides information on how to configure the Readiness rating scale, so all languages display specific values, after the scale is configured for Succession.

Once the Readiness rating scale is configured, you can add and edit the labels being used by each rating value according to each locale (language) available inside your instance, in:

1. Admin Center > Company Settings > Rating Scales;
2. Select the “Readiness” rating scale;
3. On the upper right corner of the Rating Scale Designer page, there is a “Language” drop-down that will hold all the languages enabled inside your instance. 

By selecting the Language you wish to edit, the whole page will adapt to the locale specific configurations of that Language. It is important to mention that the “Score” values should not be changed when adding translations to the Readiness values, only the “Label” and the “Description” values.

In case you have different languages enabled in your instance and you do not configure the translations accordingly, languages that do not carry their own specific labels will display the Default language’s labels instead.

Example: if the labels in Spanish are left as blank:

When nominating a user, while logged in Spanish language, the system will display the labels for the instance's default language:

NOTE: For any changes to the Readiness rating scale (adding a new label or editing an existing one), the steps 2 and 3 of the KBA 2227080 - How to Configure Readiness Values for Succession Planning, must be followed afterwards, to make sure that the instance is fully configured to the new changes.
