• In an Business Suite environment running on SAP ASE with HADR configuration, SAP Application unable to connect to ASE database
• R3trans -d returns:
  2EETW169 no connect possible: "DBMS = SYBASE --- "
  
  
• The dev_w traces contain errors including:
  [ASE Error SQL9668][SAP][ASE ODBC Driver][Adaptive Server Enterprise]Login redirection to Primary server failed.

• There a possible variations in errors reported by ASE logs
• The primary ASE can include messages like:
  
  Cannot locate Primary Server information from HADR config.
  
  remote HADR server servername is STANDBY
  local server is now Standby
  booting into HADR group server_group in Standby mode
  
  
• The full error message text for 9668 is:
  Login failed. Adaptive Server is running in 'Standby Mode'. You do not have the necessary role or privilege to login while the server is running in this mode and login redirection cannot occur since there is no Active Primary
