2242275 - Connect failed: Wrong database ID or Database SID cannot be empty in SWPM

Case 1:

You want to install an Additional Application server to an existing SAP system running on a HANA database. During SWPM dialog phase, the Database ID is determined wrong but the according field cannot be changed leading to a subsequent failure in the connection to the database.
Sapinst throws an error: "Connect failed: Wrong database ID! Given: <wrong DBSID> Found: <correct DBSID>"

Case 2:

You want to rename an existing SAP system running on a HANA database. During SWPM Define parameters phase, you encounter an error:

"Database SID cannot be empty"

• Any Operating system
• SAP system based on SAP NetWeaver 7.1 and higher
• HANA Database
• The name of the SAP system (SID) is different to the name of the database HANA (DBSID)
