  • When running "update statistics" with hashing option
  • ASE errorlog report error 806
  • Followed by a stack trace which can include, amongst others, update_statistics_col_hash , update_statistics , getpage_with_validation
  • ASE errorlog entries include (offsets may vary by platform and version) : 
Error: 806, Severity: 21, State: 1
