2244980 - Error 806 raised by REORG COMPACT on a very large table - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • After a database migration from 15.5 to 15.7 using DUMP and LOAD
  • A "reorg compact <table>" command on a very large table raises Error 806 with a stack trace:

Error: 806, Severity: 21, State: 1 Could not find virtual page for logical page 1313429571 in database 'dbxxxxx'.

  • The stack trace contains the following functions:

log_to_virt
virtmap
bufgrab
getpage_with_validation
reorg__unforward
reorg_handler
reorg__ptn_fr
reorg_main
