Symptom
When trying to add new Learning Activities inside the Development Plan, the “Add Learning Activity” button is not appearing.
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Career Development Planning
- SAP SuccessFactors Learning Management System
Cause
- The role doesn't have access to the Learning Activity mapped to the Development Plan
- An instance integrating CDP with LMS has more than one active Learning Activity Template
- Known Issue for 2311
Resolution
I. The role doesn't have access to the Learning Activity mapped to the Development Plan
- Go to the Manage Permission Roles and go to the required role, say SysAdmin
- Go to Goals/Objectives section and select the Learning Activity mapped to the role
II. An instance integrating CDP with LMS has more than one active Learning Activity Template
The system does not support the use of multiple Learning Activity Templates and will only work correctly for the one that is set as “Default” in Provisioning. As a customer, you do not have access to Provisioning. Please engage a Certified Partner to assist with this configuration.
Ask your Certified partner to adjust the current Default template in the backend to the one used by the Development Plan.
III. Known Issue for 2311
This is tentatively scheduled to be fixed in patch 2311p12. Patch dates can be reviewed on SAP SuccessFactors - Patch Details.
Workaround: Add the field 'state' in the career development planning template. Then add read and write permission for the field.
