Symptom

Error while migrating or upgrading the BW on HANA system:

  • During the upgrade an error occurs in phase PREP_INIT/HDB_CHK_PRIVILEGE due to available temporary objects. 
  • The migration is failing on GRANT ABAP_SYS_REPO TO _SYS_REPO SAP DBTech JDBC: [2561]: distributed metadata error: Failed to get table location during table lock, TRANSACTION_ID=123 , UPDATE_TRANSACTION_ID=0 , Schema name=SAP<SID>, Table name=0BW:BIA:BI0_0Q00000052 , error=table does not exist
