Symptom

When creating a Formula in Plan Setup > Design Worksheet we can find the following error message: Validation Error: The field (payGuide OR finalPayGuide) is cross tab referenced in formula

Reproducing the Issue

We can include the field Final Salary Mid-point (finalPayGuide) in the template and it will be displayed correctly.

But this field cannot be used in formulas.

Cause

payGuide, finalPayGuide can't be used in custom formulas, as these fields are ranges and not single fixed values.

Resolution

Currently (b1511) it is not possible to use these fields in formulas, but please raise an Enhancement Request or review the exisitng requests in the Portal to include this functionality in future releases.
