Symptom

  • ASE terminates unexpectedly
  • The ASE errorlog contains a message 'infected with signal 11' in the module kbgethashent():

Current process (hex#) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
Address hex# (kbgethashent+0x38)

  • The failed process is holding a spinlock on the resource 'rproccache_spin'

Spinlocks held by  kpid 1578042690
Spinlock Resource->rproccache_spin at address ...

  • The error is followed by a stacktrace containing functions:
