2248598 - Error 10330: EXECUTE permission denied on object sp_showoptstats... - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • When you run the sp_showoptstats stored procedure as a user who is not a system administrator, you get an error message:

EXECUTE permission denied on object sp_showoptstats, database sybsystemprocs, owner dbo

  • If sp_showoptstats is run as part of an application job, it can generate a ST22 dump with [ASE Error SQL10330] followed by the above message.
