2249456 - How Hard Stop Field Works - Recruiting Management

Symptom

When you want an applicant to not be able to proceed further in the application pipeline past a certain status until the results for an Assessment (e.g. PeopleAnswers) is returned to the application record then you can use this Hard Stop field.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

Resolution

  • A Hard Stop field is configured on the job requisition template as a standard field.
  • On the job requisition detail page, the Hard Stop status drop down consists of a list of active, default, in-progress, onboarded statuses available in the application status set associated with the job requisition.
  • Once configured, when the recruiter moves a candidate to a status past the Hard Stop status, the system checks for any assessments that may get triggered for that particular candidate. If yes, the status change is allowed, or else the candidate cannot move past that status until all the assessments are completed.
  • The system does not check the selection of the Hard Stop status against the status configured for the assessment. Hence, it is recommended that a hard stop status not be configured before the assessment status in the workflow as this would prevent the candidate from moving through the system without being sent an assessment.

Note: In order to have this field configured you will need to request assistance from an implementation partner.
