- SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 1.0
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Admin Center > Manage Pending Hire
- Select a candidate to hire and go through all Employee Central tabs filling all mandatory fields
- Click "Save" by the end of the process
RESULT: The error message appears
Cause
This error message is caused by a misconfiguration or missing candidate/applicant data in Recruiting Management
Resolution
There are three potential reasons and resolutions for this issue:
- There is more than one, or not at least one, application status with the Hireable option "Hireable" or "Hired".
In order to fix this misconfiguration:
- Navigate to Admin Center > Edit Applicant Status Configuration
- Select All application statuses (If you have more than one status set, you will have to repeat that for all status sets): (NOTE: Make sure you also check Inactive statuses)
c. Verify the Hireable Options and make sure that there is only one status with the Hireable option "Hireable" and one "Hired".
These settings have to be unique across all statuses in the instance (this applies also for the inactive statuses):
- The sm-mapping is configured incorrectly
This Knowledge Base Article explains in detail, how the sm-mapping should be configured: 2233525 In case of a misconfiguration, the error message appears. Please contact your Implementation Partner or Cloud Product Support in order to correct the misconfiguration.
- Missing mandatory Candidate/Applicant information in the candidate profile
- The information to be provided in the candidate profile is controlled by the Candidate Profile Template, however when hiring candidates in the Manage Pending Hires tool, the information expected by the system is controlled in another template, the Succession Data Model template.
- Sometimes, when hiring candidates, the Succession Data Model is expecting information on (mandatory) fields that are not provided in the candidate profile, because in the candidate profile template, this same piece of information is not set as mandatory too. To avoid this, make sure all fields mapped between both templates have information in the respective candidate profile, before proceed with the hiring process.
