2250267 - Java instance cannot start after changing IP on OS


  • You have changed the IP adress on OS for java instance, old IP and new IP are in different subnet.
  • Java instance could not start after changing the IP. From std_server*.out log(this log is located in /usr/sap/<SID>/<Instance>/work),  there is error like following: Start of UME service failed. Check help topic "Start of UME Service Failed". 
Technical details: No connection to the ldap server: 10.0.*.*:389 Causeconnect timed out RootCause:connect timed out
