2250347 - PDF downloaded by RSTXPDFT5 cannot be opened after unicode migration

Symptom

After a Unicode migration of an SAP system, a PDF file was created as follows:

  • Run report RSTXPDFT4 in background processing mode to create a binary spool request.
  • Download this binary spool via report RSTXPDFT5.
  • The created PDF file cannot be opened and the error message is:
