2250757 - Error: "Error when initializing the authentication provider" - FC 10.0

Symptom

When the external authentication is enabled in the administration console and trying to start the datasource, the following error message appears:

"Failed to start data source <datasource_name>.
Failed to start server instances on machine <machine_name>.
Failed to initialize server configured on machine <machine_name>.
Error when initializing the authentication provider.
(null)"
