2250947 - Error 3702 and 2714 in stored procedures using monOpenObjectActivity - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Stored procedures that create and drop #temp tables within the procedure
  • Occasionally return Error 3702
  • With subsequent executions failing with Error 2714
  • While MDA table monOpenObjectActivity is queried:

Msg 3702, Level 16, State 1:
Server 'ASE', Procedure 'myproc' :
Cannot drop or replace the table '#my_temp_table' because it is currently in use.

Msg 2714, Level 16, State 3:
Server 'ASE', Procedure 'myproc' :
There is already an object named '#my_temp_table' in the database.
