2253098 - Unable to connect to TOMCAT after upgrade

Symptom

  • After upgrading Web Tier or BI 4.1, Tomcat is not functioning properly. Unable to launch any webapps, not even the Tomcat homepage.
  • Below errors are found in Tomcat logs stderr file:
    SEVERE: Error reading request, ignored
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/tomcat/util/http/parser/ParseException
    Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.tomcat.util.http.parser.ParseException at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run (URLClassLoader.java:255)
