2254209 - "System is set to not changeable; objects cannot be changed" or "Unknown error; document could not be saved"message in Analysis for Office

After editing a workbook that is saved in BW Netweaver platform, the user is getting the message "System is set to not changeable; objects cannot be changed" or "Unknown error; document could not be saved" when trying to save the workbook to Netweaver platform again.

1. Open workbook from BW Netweaver platform in Analysis for Office;
2. Edit the workbook and try to save it again to BW Netweaver platform.

The system is set to not changeable (tcode SCC4) and there is no exceptional changeability for AO objects.

It is possible to customize and define whether Analysis for Office objects can be edited in BW Netweaver when the system is set to not changeable in SCC4 transaction.

1. Go to RSOR transaction;

2. Click on "Object Changeability";
   
   

3. The objects related to Analysis for Office are AAOE and AAOP. Select the object that should be changed and change it to "Changeable Original" or "Everything Changeable" as shown below:

• "Changeable Original" (only workbooks originally created in the system can be changed/saved)

• "Everything Changeable" (all workbooks can be changed/saved, including workbooks transported from different system)
