2254433 - Error - Getting Child Picklist process failed, your session has timed out when trying to apply for a Job - Recruiting Management

Symptom

  • Internal candidates are unable to apply to job reqs
  • There is an issue with applications for internal and external postings post release. The applicants get this error message "Getting Child Picklist process failed, your session has timed out” and cannot apply.
  • Only happens in some browsers and not all. Primarily IE 8, 9 and 10.
  • Exception get sysconfig type: recruiting_type Key:social_sourcing_settingjava.lang.NullPointerException:
