2254915 - Unable to change or translate title of customs portlet in ‘Manage Configuration UI’

When trying to translate or change the title of a custom portlet in ‘Manage Configuration UI’, the changes are reverted after saving.

1. Navigate to Admin Center   >Employee Files   >Manage Configuration UI
2. Select the UI you wish to edit:
   
   
   
3. Select ‘Edit Properties’:
   
   
   
4. Change the UI title:
   
   
   
5. The title changes appears in UI. Save changes:
   
   
   
   
6. The changes do not save:
   

 

• There are conflicting entries in the config UI definition, which are not allowing the changes to be saved.
• These fields need to be removed, in order to make the changes.

1. Navigate to Admin Center   >Manage Data
2. Search: ConfigUIMeta and the UI in question:
   
   
   
3. Click ‘Take Action: Make Correction’:
   
4. Under the section ‘simpleFieldValue’
   The following three fields should be removed:
• "baseobject_header"
• "baseobject_title"
• "baseobject_titleFormatString"    
• 
5. Please make sure following entries remain and untouched "baseobject_header_title" and "baseobject_header_titleFormatString" along with    other entries.
6. Save changes and the title of the UI can now be successfully changed or translated.
