2255173 - '"500 Internal Server" due to java.lang.StackOverflowError

Symptom

  • When you try to access portal or NWA,  after inputing user and password, it's very slow and at last there is the following error from end user's screen:
    500 Internal Server Error is returned for HTTP request [http://<Host>:<Port>/webdynpro/resources/sap.com/tc~lm~itsam~ui~mainframe~wd/FloorPlanApp]:
     component [dispatcher],
  • In the defaultTrace (usr/sap/<SID>/<Instance>/j2ee/cluster/server<X>/log), there will be an error like below:
    500 Internal Server Error is returned for HTTP request [http://<Host>:<Port>//webdynpro/resources/sap.com/tc~lm~itsam~ui~mainframe~wd/FloorPlanApp]:
    component [dispatcher],
    web module [webdynpro/resources/sap.com/tc~lm~itsam~ui~mainframe~wd],
    application [sap.com/tc~lm~itsam~ui~mainframe~wd],
