2255189 - Unable to import the excel file in compensation executive review offline editing - Compensation Management

Executive review offline edit is not working. Getting the below error message while uploading the file.

Unable to import file. This might due to one of the following:

• File is not in Excel Format.
• File was not saved in earlier versions of Excel (Excel 97 -2003).
• Original file was not exported from the system.

SAP SuccessFactors Compensation

1. Go to Executive Review.
2. Open template.
3. Export the content as excel.
4. Re-import the same file.

This issue occurs if customer is importing comp rating with text value(that can be ideally entered with a dropdown list driven by a rating scale in Excel export file). By design this is known limitation we cannot import the comp-ratings if the values are text and as of now we only support numerics.

There are two ways to resolve the issue as follows:

• Delete the Comp-Rating Column:
  Delete the comp-rating column and import the excel file and the issue would be resolved.
  
  
• Format Cells of Comp Rating Column in Excel:

1. Right-click on the "Comp Rating" column.
   
   
2. Select the Format Cells option.
3. Set the format to Numeric.
   
   
   
   
   
4. Update the ratings for the users.
5. Import the file into Executive Review.
